Am I the only one who was kind of disappointed by the games graphics? I was expecting super-realistic environments. Granted it still looks great, especially the water effects, but it didn't really wow me like I thought it would.
*EDIT*
Then again, after going back and watching the trailer again, I may have been thrown off by how out-of-place the captains and Pikmin look on the realistic backdrop.

Still seems interesting though. Controlling four captains supports my co-op theory. I don't think they're Olimar's family though. You see his family in Pikmin 2 and the concept art of the characters looked nothing like them. I'm assuming that they're all just new employees at Hocotate Freight. But the 'rescuing Olimar' scenario seems about right.

I don't think the Rock Pikmin are the only new ones either. Did anyone else see that flying pink thing when the title appeared? I certainly think it resembles a Pikmin.

I think it looks great. More worried about whether there'll be enough new gameplay mechanics to warrant a sequel, but Miyamoto generally doesn't disappoint.

Sure, it'll be good... but will it be truly great, or even a masterpiece? That really remains to be seen.

Remember Launch titles don't normally push the systems to its limits providing graphically stunning displays. Also it was originally on the Wii.

I don't really care about the graphical prowess, really. It looks good enough for me! I just want another Pikmin game, and this is it! Loved the added strategic elements and the new control method looks fantastic.

I think the game looks very pretty considering its started as a Wii project. Just look at the depth of field and bloom effects, I am already mesmerized.

^ Yeah, I was expecting this to look like a Wii game since that's where it started. I didn't think they could pull off making everything look so real but they did a great job!

This! I was expecting a cheap port, but I'm amazed how pretty the game looks. From the videos shown at E3 it's easily the best looking WiiU game so far :D

I like that they said that efficiency is an important part of gameplay.
