Pikmin 3

Nintendo enters the HD era.

Pikmin 3

Postby Triskiller » Mon Apr 16, 2012 5:22 pm

It's been confirmed that it'll be present at E3! Finally, after a long, long wait, it's here! I can't wait to see it, I can't wait to see what they'll do with the world of Pikmin, especially with all the extra processing power of the Wii U, and the time that it took for them to come this far. I want it now! :D

I'll move this to the Other gaming board for now. Anyway, I'm pleased about this. Very excited to see how Pikmin 3 will look after the series skipped a generation.

I never got to beat Pikmin because of that darn 30 day limit thing but Pikmin 2 was awesome. My friend and I always used to play multiplayer, it was fun.

Pikmin 2 is way, way better than the first one, and I loved the first one. I really can't wait to see what they're doing with the game. I hope you can now build a shelter or something to stay the night, so that you don't have to go into orbit all the time.

I want to have some more basic RTS kind of options, I would love to have my Pikmin build a base for me while I go scouting for treasure, though I wouldn't really know what kinds of buildings you could make. Maybe you could find special items that make it possible to build different kinds of structures, or something. Hopefully there's just one big overworld and you can set up multiple onion landing platforms so you can access your Pikmin at more than one point in the map. I'm just dreaming though, I bet Miyamoto can think of way better things to do with the franchise than I ever could.

I've got the first 2 for Wii but have only played the first 6 days or so on the first one. Was not a huge fan of the day limit (and basically being forced to make choices of what to play), but I do wanna beat the game. I'll probably beat them both before the third comes out.

If it makes you feel better, I have a friend who's beaten Pikmin in 15 days. I guess that's some consolation that it's at least doable. But yeah I'm really excited about the HD too. Seeing lifelike plants with fuzz on em and morning dew would be splendid. I wonder what new color Pikmin will be around this time.

I need to finish Pikmin 1&2. I played 1 a bit back in the day but I used to start crying when the Pikmin got squished. (I was a sensitive child XD)

I know that feel, though not that extreme. It's sad to see Pikmin die, you kind of get attached to them.

For me, thats part of why the game is so great. You actions have real consequences and you always try to to the best to save as many of those little guys as possible.

No Pikmin left behind!
