So whats everyones take on the next gen console not letting anyone use used games on their consoles? I think its utter bullshit, and hope it won't ever be that way.

I read about that. Apparently it's already started. If you play a used Batman Arkham City game without a code, you can't play any of the segments with Catwoman.

I don't see what's wrong with giving bonuses to people who buy the game brand-new; after all, those are the biggest fans and in the end they keep the videogame industry alive (so that all of us can profit from it). I think it's similar to giving someone a poster or a strategy guide with their buy.

But yeah the idea of not allowing used games altogether is a bit disturbing, sounds a lot like that DRM fiasco to me.

To me personally, this would only affect me in years time: I might buy a PS4 or 720 in a few years, what if they don't sell the game I want in stores anymore? It's happened with Gamecube, I don't see why it wouldn't happen again.

Great point Thomas, never though of that! EA has slightly started kind of the same thing. If you buy a used copy of Madden 12, you have to buy a $10 "online" pass to play online, since you bought the game used. If you buy it new, it already comes with a code you can redeem for free online. It's like a lowblow basically.

Thats the same thing with sony games, except when i bought uncharted 3 used gamestop gave me the code for free
