Okay, I tried recollecting each final boss fight in every 3d Zelda: OoT, WW, TP, and SS. I don't know, it seems Demise is at the bottom of my favorites (I only took into account the final form of Ganondorf in OoT, WW, and TP). My favorite would be TP Ganondorf. It just looks and plays good. *Spoilers* You fight Ganondorf in the middle of Hyrule field, no projectiles, no magic, just plain swordplay. The twilight sky and weather added grittiness to the battle. Also, it was supported by a great soundtrack. It would have been perfect if they applied 1:1 motion in that battle.

TP final battle is my favorite, too. Including every part. The Ganon vs Wolf was epic.

I know, right? Just the scene of Link climbing those massive stairs before he confronts Ganondorf, with the troubling weather, truly epic. The build-up for the final battle was greatly done.

I think the battle with Ganon in Ocarina of Time is a little more epic than in Twilight Princess. The whole situation was epic;

Link beats Ganondorf, then has to escape the crumbling castle. Just as he and Zelda breathe a sigh of relief, Ganondorf rises from the rumble in a rage and transforms into Ganon using the Triforce of Power. Lightning strikes and the sky darkens. Ganon suddenly knocks the Master Sword from Link's hand and is prevented from retrieving it by a wall of flame. The lighting on the battlefield allows you to see Ganon but not discern his physical features, making him even more intimidating. Without the Master Sword, Link is forced to improvise with what ever he has on hand, fighting off Ganon with bombs, arrows or any other weapon he's collected on his journey. Finally, though, Ganon falls and his magic weakens causing the wall of flames to reseed momentarily allowing him to retrieve the Master Sword. The battle continues as Ganon rises back to his feet and Link, now once again equipped with the Blade of Evil's Bane, is able to truly harm the altered Prince of Thieves. When Ganon falls once more, the flames vanish and the skies clear. Zelda, using her magic, prevents Ganon from recovering, allowing Link to deliver the final blow, weakening Ganon enough for the sages to seal him away.

The atmosphere, although similar to the battles in Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword, has a much more powerful effect in this battle for me. I think the reason for this is because what you're fighting isn't human or humanoid, like Ganondorf and Demise. Ganon is a monster, which makes the player feel intimidated and inferior, yet the atmosphere, like the lighting and the music, gave the player a sense of intensity and determination. This monster may be powerful, but you've come to far to just give up now.

But that's just my take on it. If you guys like the final battles in other games more then that's fine too. This is just my opinion and my reason why I like it more. Plus, Ganon isn't distracted by fishing rods or bug nets. Knowing that kind of removes some of the seriousness from those fights for me.

OoT and TP had my favorite final battles because Ganondorf just would not give up. The final battle of SS was epic, but it seems Ghirahim put up more of a fight than Demise. That would be like if Zant had kept Link struggling until fighting Ganondorf, who turns out to be a pushover. It is really annoying when the servant is more of a threat than the "master". That was the case in SS because that Demise battle only had two phases. That would be fine, except that Demise was suppose to be this powerful being that the goddess herself could not completely defeat. Maybe I am nitpicking.

I basically agree with everything you said here.

I keep playing the Demise boss battle before I go to bed. :P It was the shortest "final boss fight" I can remember for a 3D Zelda, but it was fun and epic. Part of me doesn't want to leave Skyward Sword!

I never understood why people make such a big deal about Majora. I don't think the fight was all that special or memorable, with or without the Fierce Deity Mask.

That's one of my favorite moments in the game. It was downright neat.

By far the worst part of the game.
