And they don't make DS Lite games, never have. That's because the DS Lite is the exact same architecture as the baseline DS, and hence, there was no need to make games that used its unique feature set (which is to say, its brightness settings). DSi and DSi LL had a faster processor though, but I don't think it was ever fully utilized.

Someone told me that, when I have the Nintendo 3DS, and buy the recent copy of Mario Kart DS, then the game already can show some 3D effect -- is that true?
I told him that if I bought the Mario Kart DS about 2, 3 years ago, can that cartridge work too? He told me it won't, it has to be a recently release of the game, and he told me that about 10 of the recently released DS games, they will show 3D effect on the 3DS, it that true too? (we were at a store). thanks.

Nope, there's not a word of truth in that. Which store was it?

The person in that store either got confused or they lied. the only games that support 3D are games made for 3DS. Mario Kart 7 supports it, Mario Kart DS doesnt, same applies for any other DS games. DS games are playable on 3DS's but do not support any new features.

It was confusing me writing that, hope it makes sense :s
