Possible reward for recruiting

If there's one thing in particular I'd like to improve upon, it's the sense of community we have here. While I think that all of you are fantastic people, I can't deny that the amount of members participating on the forum is very small. So, I came up with an idea - which I began discussing with Austin - that hopefully could increase forum (and perhaps commentator) participation.

Here's the deal: If you were to recruit x amount (10-15 or so) of members, I would personally send you a 500 point Wii download. That, of course, means a free VC or WiiWare title for 500 points. If you were to go above and beyond, I'd even consider sending you a 1,000 point title.

There would be a few strings attached, mainly that the members you recruit would need to be registered for 1-2 weeks and have at least 25-50 posts. These numbers would be determined if you guys are on board with this idea.

But as you can see, forum members are really important to me and I'd like to expand the community in any way possible. I suppose the only roadblock here is that I wouldn't be able to send games to people in countries such as the U.K., Australia, etc. due to limitations on the Wii Shop Channel.

I'd really like to know what you guys think about this, though. Or, if you have any other suggestions, I'd love to hear them!

I don't think it's that we're not interested, it's just that that for me personally, I work 3rd shift 10pm to 7am so I'm basically a shut in and I don't participate in many forums outside of this one. So I can't really help. Like Gabo said maybe make mention of the forums in the news sections if we have a related forum.

Yeah, I understand. As someone who has to work on the site a lot and balance real life, it can get hectic sometimes.

But yeah, looks I'll have to consider something else.

This is a good idea. I'll advertise the site on Pe2k, a forum me and Austin are active on(although Austin advertises NE on Pe2k podcasts) xD.
