Skyward Sword SPOILER Thread

Postby Noble Wrot » Sun Nov 20, 2011 11:35 pm

Because there is a non-spoiler thread, I figured it would make sense to have one with spoilers with the game being out in two regions now. I am sure people are urging to discuss all the new plot twists (and plot holes; this is Zelda we are talking about). That said, I am going to be hiding away from the Internet for the most part. I will have to wait until Tuesday to get them game.

OK, but if any spambots post in this thread I'm not going to go in here and delete their posts until I've finished the game.

So I guess we get to discuss it once we've beat the full game? Okay, I'll stay out of this for a while too.

Okay, I got to the 3rd dungeon. Have you guys tried removing all the dust, I mean every speck of dust you see in the place? My hand feels weird after all that vibration... That sounded nasty. :(

You'll find out in the third dungeon =)

Wow at the 4th dungeon (Ancient Cistern)! Hot damn! Nice level design also it made use of all your items! The boss is also equally as awesome! Decided to save and quit, to relish the moment. Don't wanna go too fast! I'm already considering this to be the best 3d Zelda ever.

4th dungeon is my favourite so far (in the 6th now)

How awesome was it when you picked up the 4th boss' weapon? ;D

I beat it. Awesome game. Best Zelda ever. The Beetle is one of my favorite items of all time.

I didn't wanna write this before but... spoilers for those who haven't done the story bit after the sixth dungeon

When Zelda said "I used you, Link", that was some cool writing. It felt maybe a little too cynical for Nintendo, but still really awesome that they're kind of analysing how all of their games have this girl that needs rescuing, and then they kinda flip it around.

The script for this game was really good, especially with how characters react to your different responses, like telling the Sheikah "am I late?" gets a great response.

Got buried for awhile... Anyway, to those who completed the game: Can you achieve full health (full hearts) in this game without the use of the Heart medallions? Also the scene when Link enters the Gate of Time blew my mind. I lol'd at wide-eyed Link staring at Zelda the whole time but the moment he frowned, I frowned too.

Also, I felt a bit off at the Tadtone quest. *Stupid Water Dragon always testing you*

The Tadtone quest did not take me too long. It took about ten minutes. Still, that last one was annoying. I missed the target the first time I tried to get it unstuck. How irritating. How does collecting musical tadpoles prove Link's worth anyway?

So I tried doing Lanayru's challenge, tried it thrice. First attempt, I got tempted when he said I'd receive a "rare treasure" if I quit. Annoyed that I just received an ornamental skull. Second, I accidentally quit after the 3rd boss. Third, I managed to kill all 9 somehow I still have to meet the 10th boss. But, overall, I'm not really angry since I enjoyed every boss battle. :)
