SSB4

Postby LegendaryNoob » Fri Jun 22, 2012 11:00 pm

So the talk has begun. We all know that SSB4 will be coming and the development of the game has started since KI:U was finished. This is will be the normal discussion topic for it. Enjoy.....

Ohh, before I forget, NamcoBandai will be lending a hand with the development. Discuss that too. I will be keeping tabs with the game for everyone, such as notable developments and stuff. Have fun.

Namco Bandai make good fighting games, so im glad if they can help it, especially if it speeds up development times.

I loved the campaign just because it was all my favorite characters teaming up to beat a bad guy. My favorite moment from any video game so far is when all the ships fly into the black ball thing.

I liked SSE for the cutscenes and seeing how all the different NIntendo characters interact with each other. But gameplay-wise it was kind of tedious.

If Pac-Man makes it in, I hope he doesn't have that weird robot suit thing they gave him in Street Fighter X Tekken.

There needs to be a SSE sequel with more awesome cutscenes!

Lets see how this turns out, I got my eyes on you Namco.

That would be reason enough to not buy the game.

I refuse to acknowledge Super Smash Bros. as a fighting game. Fighting games involve memorizing long combos, smaller more restricting stages, and (usually) one-on-one combat. Super Smash Bros. fits more appropriately as a beat-'em-up. Just thought I'd make my opinion known.

A lot of people seem to be upset about Namco Bandai's inclusion in the development, but people seem to forget that anything that goes into Smash Bros. goes through Sakurai first. If he doesn't want it in there, it probably won't be.

I like that Namco joined in. If anyone played SCV's online, they nailed it. Also, gives them a free pass for more 3rd party characters on official roster. Gives a little hope that more characters are joining in (like always).
Now for that 'Smash is not a fighting game', I disagree. You don't need all that to make it a fighting game, it's just different on it's own terms. Brawl just managed to tone it down a bit, but hey, I see the origins of the from where that came from...

I'm very shocked that Namco Bandai is developing this. It came out of nowhere. At least some of their staff have fighting game experience thanks to SoulCalibur V.

Oh, and I hop there's a campaign in this like in Brawl, but they should really try to make it more interesting. Why not start by including enemies from Nintendo's franchises?

I'm not mad for the news, but I'm not thrilled either.
As log as Sakurai is the director, SSB4 will be great.
Who knows, maybe they bring cool new ideas to the table.
Plus, I always wanted Pac-Man in SSB, now is almost confirmed... oh, but no SFvT robot. That sucked!

Maybe there's a possibility that the game is being developed by different teams.
Like how Mario Kart 7 was developed by two or three teams, I think.

Don't forget that Super Smash Bros. Brawl was handled by a bunch of different development teams including staff from Game Arts, Paon and Monolith Soft.

And why are you guys hating on Mokujin?

Ha, I didn't realize that was another fighter. But both Mega Man and Pac-Man in SFxT seemed like huge middle fingers to every fan. It's like you wanted Mega Man X, nope you're getting fat, bad boxart Mega Man. Oh you wanted Pac-Man with unique moves? Nope he's gonna fight in a dumb robot.

Though the fat Mega Man is hilarious, when all is said and done, I never wanna see him again :p

I'm not especially thrilled about SSB4. I feel like they blew a huge chance with Brawl and they need alot of catching up to do.

The question is, can we expect more non Namco 3rd party characters?

I'm still thinking Mega Man is going to be in this. I just got that feeling..

Edit: How Mega Man might play in Smash Bros.

Also, you should all play that game.
