Rumor: Tales of Vesperia heading to Wii
November 6th, 2009 Posted in Rumors, Wii, Written by ValayInitially, Tales of Vesperia was a PS3 exclusive. In 2009, however, the game was ported to the PS3. Now may a Wii release be possible?
Rikiya Koyama, a voice actor for the Japanese version of the game, wrote a new blog post today and acknowledged a Wii edition. After launching on the 360 and PS3, Koyama said that a Wii version would be next. Of course, Namco Bandai hasn’t confirmed anything at this time. And who knows, perhaps Koyama was actually referring to Tales of Graces.

Whether it will be a port, spin-off, or even a Wii-exclusive sequel in the likeness of Symphonia we have yet to know. Since this is a rumor spread by a voice actor from Vesperia, I will take his word with a grain of salt.

Yeah, that was a mistake. If you read it, you would have seen that I wrote it was a PS3 game ported to the PS3. That doesn’t make sense, does it?
I actually did know that it was a 360 exclusive. But hey, this is a Nintendo blog anyway!

It really would make sense to bring this to Wii, I never understood why they didn’t, so the more Tales games the better

I wouldn’t be surprised if the port happened. Visually speaking, it’s nothing the Wii can’t do, and the JRPG audience is much more profitable on the Wii than the others this gen, where JRPGs don’t even tend to break a mil.
