Super Mario Galaxy 2 approaching the end of development
November 6th, 2009 Posted in News, Wii, Written by ValayThis information comes from Shigeru Miyamoto, on the latest episode of GameTrailers TV…
“We’re in the middle of finalizing the game, the ideas that we’ve created, almost entirely new courses for Super Mario Galaxy 2. Of course we’ve added some new abilities for Mario. And the goal is to take the system and the gameplay of the original Super Mario Galaxy and turn it into something that’s a little more expanded and offers a great deal of challenge for people that enjoyed that first game.”
The original Super Mario Galaxy provides an incredibly entertaining experience, so following the game’s announcement, I was extremely happy. And if Galaxy 2 was to be more of the same (although I don’t think it will be), just being able to roam around in new levels would be fantastic.

Sweet… Looks like this game is going to be a true sequel, with a ton of new ideas to show just how awesome the galaxy universe really is.

gadget, don’t make noob out of yourself. Do yourself a favour and play Yoshi’s Island, that was the first game where Miyamoto tried that concept.

Great, but I still want to know what Galaxy 2’s plot is, even if it is not much as Miyamoto claims.

Awesome! But when will it be released? I hope we don’t have to wait another year.
Like the writer said, obviously I want it to be different, but if it was just Super Mario Galaxy with different levels it would still be excellent.

It is nice to learn that Super Mario Galaxy 2 is approaching the end of its development. It may be next month when the game went “gold” and will be available for release sometime next year. Whether it is in first quarter of 2010 or the seconde quarter, we do not know.
