GTA: Chinatown Wars – More screens

Update: Alright, I’ve uploaded a few more pictures. The last five images are the new ones I put up on the site.

So I received my issue of Nintendo Power and have taken some screenshots of GTA: Chinatown Wars that seemed to have been missed before. Some are partial duplicates (I think there are one or two of those). Other than that, these screens haven’t been posted for. And I’ll try to update the photos later because I realize that one picture or so is slightly dark. Also, I’ll have two or so more photos that didn’t come out so well in a bit.

    How exactly does this look great?

    If you want the real GTA experience on a portable you only have two options. 1) Psp and 2) Umpc. The DS simply will never cut it for GTA and you will always get a washed down, cut down, blurry pixilated version regardless of how much you optimise the code.

    what are you talking about? The real gta experience for me is the classic gta, after played thru all grand theft auto’s excluding the last one. The first gta was played on pc’s that had lesser ram and cpu then the nintendo ds. You prolly never even played the first gta and you are talking crap. kkthnx bye.

    When my mate told me that he’d seen the new screens and they were topdown like the old GTA’s I was really disappointed, but this looks fantastic. I can’t wait. It’d be cool if there was a view change option but either way this should be a winner

    MING is right in some ways. People who play only Nintendo games aren’t in my or his opinion “real gamers”. Real gamers play Xbox and PlayStation. But I have a DS but I don’t play it anymore. But if you play Xbox and PlayStation and also Wii or DS and you play all of them, I’d think I’d call you a real gamer. I still don’t think I’m going to get this game. Mainly because I don’t play my DS anymore.

    How sh!t, driver 2 on Gameboy advance sp looked better and had a better behind view LAWL.

    yeah sure, gta looks really nice on the consoles, but why do people just want to compare this to a console game??? that is absolutely ludicrous in my opinion, because it is a handheld system and everyone knows(or should know) it couldn’t cope with a true 3D view for a game as huge as gta… having said that, this looks absolutely fantastic. the cell shading is a very nice touch and the view for this is really cool too! for me, gta is about plot evolution, character development, and not so much about graphics. and if this story is every bit as good as the console stories, then thats a thumbs up to rockstar from me. hope its awesome!

    I dont understand you PoliceChief, or anyone who things DS is for girls or kids. I think someone is bitter the DS is out-selling PSP or something. What is DS? A GAME system. What is on it? GAMES! There are some damn good games on it from EVERY genre (IGN has a great list for 2008)also. If sales/fun factor were based on graphics alone, we wouldn’t even see a GTA IV because my god GTA1 was a total eye sore, but it was a fun game and produced sequels. What is a “real gamer” anyway? I don’t own a PS3/XB360, am I not a “real” gamer? My wii, gamecube, xbox1, ps2, SNES, genesis, DS, Jaguar, NES, saturn, DS, gameboy, lynx, or game gear just aren’t enough to say I am a “real” gamer? Oh wait, I forgot hardcore ONLY meant shooting people online with XB-LIVE (maybe I just don’t have the cash to pay a monthly fee?) I enjoy a good day playing classics on those systems just as much as something with cutting edge graphics.

    A lot of the gamers out there are fooling themselves, or they’re just stupid. They think graphics are everything, most of them being new gamers more than likely. When I see someone post about a game’s graphics I consider them under the age of 14, since, well did PS1 or N64 have amazing graphics? I like all consoles, I just hate the fans for them, defending their favorite console for some unknown reason, unless they know that a game they felt foolish of buying for their console was really overhyped and it turned out to suck, so they get lol’ed by opposing fan boys. Luckily I was brought up with a Nintendo and my best friend had a Super Nintendo so I know what shitty graphics are, but damn they are so much better than the games you see today.
