Famitsu hardware sales (12/14 – 12/20)

Famitsu’s hardware numbers have come in a little bit later than usual this week. Nonetheless, here are the sales from December 14th to December 20th.

PS3 – 245,000
Wii – 208,000
DSi – 111,000
PSP – 78,000
DSi LL – 75,000
DS Lite – 13,000
Xbox 360 – 7,100
PSP go – 3,200

For comparison’s sake, here’s how Media Create ranked the systems a few days ago:

PS3 – 237,086
Wii – 191,915
DSi – 95,227
PSP – 79,194
DSi LL – 75,241
DS Lite – 12,879
Xbox 360 – 8,965
PSP go – 3,260
PS2 – 2,982

By comparing the Famitsu and Media Create numbers, I noticed that the Wii’s and DSi’s numbers were much lower on the latter’s list: 16,085 difference for the Wii, and 15,773 difference for the DSi. The difference for the PS3 is 7,914. Anyway, the numbers for the systems for this week are quite impressive, especially for the PS3 which has much to do with the release of Final Fantasy XIII.

PS3 FTW! Sony is going to win this console era just like the Sony PS1 and PS2 did without a pinch! The PSP was struggling but won it, but the PSP Go has successful game sales but poor hardware sales as Sony isn’t losing money of paying for the cost of the physical copy/casing/booklets etc. so therefore saving Sony TONNES OF CASH! so if you never noticed what I was trying to say, it’s that Sony’s making slight profits of the PSP Go! But its hardware sales are struggling!

Those are great figures for the Wii considering it didn’t have any AAA releases for the week. Final Fantasy is still a sales juggernaut in Japan, i wonder how much of a lasting effect it’ll have on PS3 hardware in the region.

Sony needs to take PSP go off the market, it’s total bs.
Wii will takeover the 1st place again in sometime, PS3 was lucky to be in 1st because Sony made the price a bit lower.
