Aonuma: Twilight Princess “a starting point” for Zelda Wii
December 8th, 2009 Posted in News, Wii, Written by Valay“With Twilight Princess, we challenged ourself to create the most vast and realistic world the series had ever seen, but we don’t feel that we were able to fully complete this objective. With that as a starting point for our improvements to the series in the future, we are of course working on a new game for Wii. For any game to be remembered for a long time, just like Ocarina of Time was, the game must give the strong impression that it has set a new starting point for future sequels to build upon. We are working to further improve upon the experiences found in Twilight Princess so that our future games can realize these innovations.” – Eiji Aonuma
It sounds like some elements from Twilight Princess will be carried over to Zelda Wii in some way, but I wouldn’t get too concerned about this quote if you’re thinking it will just be a rehash. It wasn’t too long ago that Aonuma said that the team is looking at ways to change the traditional structure that the series has been known for.

Ganondorf better be in it. Zelda games feel like a spin-off to me when he isn’t.
I don’t mind if it’s too much like TP, as long as they don’t hype it up saying the way the game progresses, and the graphics etc are all going to be different, and then it ends up hardly changed at all. Basically – Whether it’s new and fresh, or it sticks to what works, I don’t care. As long as they don’t promise things that won’t come to fruition.
Also, an orchestrated musical score is an absolute EFFING must. If Galaxy had one, so MUST this.

I agree with Gavin on his Ganondorf comment and orchestrated musical score comment.
I agree 100%!!
I’m so happy to hear this news.
TP world was awesome if we talk about how big it was.
But to me, it felt kind of dead.
I mean, such a huge map, but not much people to meet in it or not much to do (side-quests.)
This must improve in the next Zelda.
