Famitsu reveals Japanese sales of DSi XL
November 24th, 2009 Posted in DS, News, Written by ValayOn Saturday, while it was the five year anniversary of the Nintendo DS’ original release in North America, the DSi XL launched in Japan. Famitsu has reported on the system’s first two days of sales and has determined that it sold 103,524 in two days. It should be noted that this data is from Enterbrain and not Media Create, which is sometimes a more trustworthy source for sales numbers. Still, it seems as though the handheld is off to a fairly good start, especially considering that the handheld isn’t a major upgrade to the DSi.

Compared to the Japanese release of the PSP Go, the two-day sale numbers for the DSi XL is encouraging for a new revision of the DS line. It may sale higher during the holiday season and will not have a similar fate of the PSP Go.

The name is LL, not XL.
