Metroid Prime series isn’t finished, more games could land on DS/DSi

Even though I’m tremendously excited for Metroid: Other M, I’d be saddened if Corruption was the last Metroid Prime title. I’m definitely glad to hear that the series has a future. And based on Tanabe’s comments, perhaps Nintendo will consider a DSi-exclusive Metroid Prime game for the DSi.

Hopefully Retro will make it this time… I didn’t really like Hunters…

Maybe if there’s a Prime 4, we’ll finally find out whose ship that was at the end of Corruption.

it was metroid prime hunters that got me the ds and it was metroid prime 3 that got me the ds, if the released a dsi exclusive of metroid prime then that would be the reason for me to finally get a dsi

Hmmm…I don’t know, I really like the Prime games as a trilogy and I would prefer them to stay that way.
It is like the Metroid Prime producer said, that the Prime series has reach its end and all ambitions have been filled.
Sure, Retro could always come up with some new original concept for the series but still.

Maybe a new Hunters game on the wii or ds where retro developes trhe campaine and NST does the multiplayer. by the way NST developed mphunters on the ds.

no, Nintendo shouldn’t keep Metroid Prime going, it’s reached it’s end like that Retro Studio guy said.
What Nintendo really needs to do is make a true, 2D Metroid game in the main series: a “Metroid 5″.

This is gonna suck.
Oh, Metroid’s an awesome series, I’m not denying that. But Prime is over. It’s done. Nintendo, please, do not release Prime 4. Don’t turn the Metroid series into Zelda. Don’t make an overly complicated timeline. Hunters was okay, but it was undeserving of the Prime name (much less its “Metroid” status). It should have been called just “Metroid Hunters,” since there is an distinct lack of Prime and it takes place in the Metroid Universe. Heck, no, it should have just been called “Metroid Side Stories: Hunters,” and you can make your own subseries out of that. Don’t go around saying that Prime is back, because it’s not. Prime is over. Prime is dead. Call it something else if you’re really not going to move the series forward.

A great bargain, and if you never played the original releases or have lost access to them over the years then you should definitely get Metroid Prime Trilogy. Three classic games for $50 is a deal you should accept!
