Rumor: Modern Warfare: Reflex Edition hacked already

November 8th, 2009 Posted in News, Rumors, Written by Valay

Update: This is probably the real deal. If you remember, hetoan2 is/was one of the more recognized hackers of The Conduit (thanks to Miyamoto for pointing this out).

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Reflex Edition isn’t even available in stores yet, but it looks like someone has already  hacked the game. A quick glance at the Reflex’s online leaderboards shows that something certainly is fishy. Player hetoan2 already has reached 1,337,420 kills in the global accuracy listings, not to mention that his other stats aren’t exactly normal either. This isn’t a good sign for those looking to have a fair experience with the game’s online modes, but hopefully Activision and Treyarch can take care of any hackers quickly if this rumor is true.

If you Google the username it looks like he’s known for hacks.

I’ve played against and with him on several occasions now and I’ve notice nothing strange about the way he plays, but I also didn’t know his kill count was that high until just now. I did think he was a hacker the moment I saw him as his name actually includes graphics of the Wiimote and Nunchuk, which of course can only be done through hacking.

I just pray that when the successor of the Wii arrives that it would be difficult for it to be hacked. It is not good for hackers and cheaters online as it may discourage honest gamers to play online.

Shame but this game is still better than that piece of shit Conduit.

It was bound to happen. It happens with every game thats online. As long as we have online we will have hackers.

They should just ban the hacker from playing the game period, and the best way to do this is by using the system code not their friend code, if the system they are using to play is registered as a hack account user, the whole Wii system should be banned from ever playing the game online again period. You would see how fast people would stop that bs, knowing they could ban themselves permanently if caught !

I agree with Captain N. Ban those sons of a bitches from ever playing again. but from my point of view it does not seem that Call of Duty MWr itself is not hacked. Just the leaderboards. But in time they might find a hack for it in game and just ruin the whole game. They should stop them. There Fault for hacking so they should be banned.

Hackers take all the fun out of online gaming!!Don’t they have better things to do, like prison time? Ban them!! It is obvious the these people on the top of the leaderboard didn’t earn their place!

well..actually it doesnt matter if they ban them by thier friend code or the wii’s mac address or thier ip address. there is always a way to get around it. anytime there is electronics involved there is always going to be a way around it. and besides. i actually hack wii.. and i know the ways to “un-do” the ban..and brian,,actually all the known hackers are trying to prevent people from hacking online and the leaderboards..but the people who make thier own codes and dont give a shit like jedi hack the leaderboards..
