The Conduit has sold 270,000 units through September
November 2nd, 2009 Posted in DS, News, Wii, Written by ValaySEGA has revealed a new listing of sales thus far for a few of their titles in the company’s latest financial statements. Wii owners may be interested to know that The Conduit has sold 270,000 units in the U.S. and Europe. This report takes into account all sales through the end of September, so that numbers is based on roughly three months of data.
According to SEGA, Virtua Tennis 2009 has sold 880,000 units in the U.S. and Europe between the Wii, PS3, Xbox 360, and PS3. Additionally, 190,000 copies of Puyo Puyo 7 have been sold in Japan.

@ Hejiru – I’d say it’s decent. It’s not exactly overwhelming or anything. At the same time, I don’t believe that SEGA is terribly disappointed with that number, considering it’s a new IP and all.

The conduit is fun, and I hate how people compare it to other games when talking crap about it. Anyway, I hope it does well, wii needs more games like these to do well so we can continue to see new ones.

It’s not a blockbuster, but it’s decent. A PS2-era game could be profitable at around 100K-200K (depending on the development budget), so 270K for The Conduit is respectable.
