High Voltage wants to make a sequel to The Conduit

August 4th, 2009 Posted in News, Wii, Written by Valay

The Conduit has been on store shelves for a few weeks now and has received mostly a positive reaction. It’s not the highest rated title rated for Wii nor is it the best-selling title  on the platform, but most gamers probably wouldn’t be opposed to seeing a sequel. High Voltage Software has expressed some interest in the past regarding more games for The Conduit’s storyline, and, well, if you played the first game, you know that the ending leaves for the door wide open for another title. Fortunately, it looks like High Voltage still has plans for at least one sequel to The Conduit.

In a recent Radio-Blodec podcast, HVS’ producer Joshua Olsen was first asked about the amount of sales needed for the company to create a sequel. We have the translated response below:

“I have no idea, it all depends on the fans and sales but it’s a little early for now to assume anything. Anyway, we are very interested to make a sequel to The Conduit, it’s quite a robust world and there are more stories we want to tell.”

Next, here’s Mr. Olsen’s response regarding whether there are plans to develop a sequel:

“Sure there are, The Conduit is the first part for our hero and we want to make more parts to tell more things about him.”

Last but not least, Mr. Olsen says work has not started on a sequel, yet.

“We have not started to work on a sequel.”

Thanks to Jake for the news tip!

but he conduit could be something massive if it gets a sequel and the sequel is twice the conduit 1 in every apect wow that would be up there with modern warfare series in my book and i play modern warfare alot and the conduit MW is more intese but conduit is more genius in controls and is more fun plus the graphics are not modern warfare but the tech is clearly there to make the conduit 1 of the best shooters ever
