“Totally badass,” hardcore third-party Wii to be revealed soon

We briefly touched on this earlier this week with the Nintendo Voice Chat podcast summary, but I thought this deserved a post of its own.

Hardcore Wii owners can expect a treat next month, as a “totally badass” third-party game is on the way. IGN’s Matt Casamassia was hyping up the game on the latest Nintendo Voice Chat podcast. He says the game is a high-quality title and emphasized that it is “really good.”

“I’ll tell you one thing that’s exciting though. I did see a cool third-party game that’s still top secret. Can’t talk about it. But, I will tell you this – you will learn about it in April and it’s totally badass. It’s really good, really really good, it’s really high quality. It’s going to surprise you how good it is. But in April you’ll see some stuff on it and it’s a third-party game that’s super-high quality and really awesome, and it’s for the hardcore. I kind of do [have demand for that game].”

    well well, lets begin hyping up a game that’s rather lame. haha, just playing. hopefully, its something that the hardcore crowd will buy! i mean, com’on guys, madworld and house of the dead need some attentions. and im talking about sell wise.

    hopefully its modern warfare 2. And to yeahyeah Call of duty WAW sold only 45,000 copies in its first week and now its sold over a million. Wii games sell different than other games do.

    well, call of duty is a BIG franchise so of course it’s going to be a hit. im talking about core games (not shovelwere) like no more hero and madworld. cause you do know developers are looking at house of the dead, madworld, and the conduit sells to determine if they should bring more core titles to the wii.

    I remember last years nintendo based april fools by IGN, the surposed Legend of Zelda movie trailer and what a big waste of time that was.

    I do suppose it’s possible, but Casamassina was saying that listeners can hate him just for giving everyone a hint that “cool stuff is coming.” Also, the reveal would happen this week if it was an April Fool’s joke.

    Well, I suppose we’ll find out soon.
